The Oil and Gas sector Is a vibrant sector that influences not only the economy of a particular country but of the whole world. It is indeed a large sector and it would be virtually impossible to take all the aspects of the sector so we are going to concentrate on the gas sector especially the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas.)

Why we choose to elaborate more on LPG is because it is the most common form of gas used in the sector as it affects touches the life of the common man as it is used to power cooking equipments and also for vehicular movement.

Not until recently in Nigeria there has been concentration on only the Oil, i.e. AGO, DPK and PMS. But now the value of Gas has been felt for the little time it has been taken seriously as a crucial and indeed lucrative business, it is not an   hyperbole that in the next few years to come gas will become the number one source of energy and medium of which a lot of third world countries in particular are going to use to come out of the dark ages that they are still in.

Although most of these third world countries are govern by greed it would only be fair to say that their involvement in the oil and gas sector as a major producer and ultimately exporter will pave way for social and economic development.
